Pre-Wedding GLOW!

I am in love with this tunic, my friend B. gave it to me. I love the print, the cute sleeves and long length (can be paired with leggings too!). She gave it to me 2 months ago but only now I got a chance to wear it. Paired it with skinny jeans and boots, easiest things to wear during fall and winter months! Luckily, we have been feeling nice weather for October! (lets not jinx it now! LOL)

Some one at work commented that I have a pre-wedding glow on my face! Like really? I thought that is the only reason you put mustard paste on your face the night before the wedding so the bride glows on her wedding day. I guess, I wont be needing any mustard. But jokes apart you guys, I cant tell you how genuinely happy me and my fiancee feel. We are at a point now where we didn't think we could get to. It.is.a.dream.come.true! Our families here and back home, our friends, cousins, grandparents - everyone is sooooooooo excited to come together in Feb 2012 for the wedding. God bless, my heart knows how blessed I feel and am so grateful to see beautiful smiles on everyone's faces. My dad dances randomnly around the house bec he can't wait to marry his daughter soon in 3.5 months!

The truth is: I cant wait to become a wifey to my wonderful husband-to-be! I cant wait to live with him! :D

H&M

Happy Sunday!! Shopping List Ideas are the type of posts where I would share what I have eye-ing lately at stores and plan to purchase. It might give you ideas on what is in (through my eyes ofcourse) and you might tell me if you have bought something from this list. I will try to make one in advance of the month that is approaching and I will show what I actually ended up buying.

I actually dont own a pair of tan pants - like thE basic pair, and I dont have it. So its on my list. Tan blazer is something I know if I buy for $30, I know I will good use out of it for work and casual looks. The last photo is a leopard coat I am just dying to get. But I am not sure if it will stay in style for long. I dont tend to buy too much of the stuff based on "What's in?" but we shall see! I also want me some colored pants! They make a nice statement!

I hope you liked this post! let us know below what is on your shopping list lately?

The Mustard shirt....Returns!

This mustard shirt is earning such a bang for my buck! I love wearing this color - it is so vibrant and happy :) Isn't it funny how some colors just cheer you up - for me its blue, teal, mustard, purple. I wore my H&M *itchy* blazer, although the suede collar makes it less itchy.

We went for dinner right after work, so there was no going home, although I would have loved to wear a scarf with this look.

The pictures are taken after Mr. Fiancee and I had our date night last night - I missed not seeing him all last week, not to mention his awesome photography skills and his nice camera. Have you noticed the crappy photos I post lately? I am now thinking of investing in a tripod and a nicer camera. Any thoughts?

And my fav fall Purple jacket!
Hope you have a great Friday and Enjoy your weekend!

Gingham in Birmingham

I am wearing Gingham and I have never been to Birmingham! The title makes no sense, but it rhymed. I love styling this gingham shirt, it is so versatile, works well under blazers for business look, pair it with just a cardi or just by itself with jeans for a casual look. My mind kinda goes crazy styling this shirt in my mind.  I really liked the way Audrey styled it 10 ways here. I also look forward to using it as layers in the coming cold winter!

Happy Thursday, folks!! almost TGIF! :D

Do you love Gingham prints you have?

HAPPY DIWALI

Happy Diwali everyone - to my fellow Indians and non-Indians around the world. May the festival of lights bring joy, love and prosperity to your near and dear ones! :)

Bright and Cheerful Mondays!

I didnt have my photographer around today and this is my best shot at taking some clumsy photos

A day of no-makeup!

Today was a kind of hurry Monday. Woke up late, didn't have time to get rready (I have been lucky with no pimples lately). I have had this blue sleeve shirt for so long and never did I pair it with my grey vest. It looks nice but I think the scarf tied it all together. Guys, I didn't have Mr. Fiancee around me to take photos so these are my best attempt. I argued with myself whether I should post these bad quality photos or not, then I thought what the heck? I will post bec I think this is an outfit worth sharing, plus sharing is caring anD I care about you all very much.

How was your Monday?
(P.S. I am super pumped about the wedding in INDIA!)

The Wedding Situation - Revisted*

This weekend was awesome to say the least! Friday we kicked off our weekend visiting the in-laws to discuss something about the wedding.. Everyone was under the impression that we are going to discuss whether the wedding in canada will be one day-or 2- day wedding.

Instead dad dropped the GREAT NEWS BOMB. Remember here, when we dropped the idea of getting married in India bec family was not happy and so I cried for weeks about it until I decided to except the situation and decided to get marrried here in Canada.

The great news is: WEDDING WILL BE IN INDIA!!!!!!!!!!!!! As if you ask the universe and no matter how hard we try to change the situations, what's written will happen. OMG, You guys I am so happy i wish you could see my face right now. Dad dropped the bomb and everyone was so relieved and happy that family back home accepted the differences and encouraged my dad to have wedding in India. I have recieved unlimited texts from my cousins who first weren't able to attend in Canada and now everyone on my family can. MY GRANDPARENTS will be part of the weddin, just how I wanted. THANK GOD! and positive people in my life and bloggy world who prayed for my wishes to come true.

After wedding in India, we will still host reception in Canada for friends and family - a dinner and dance party for them who cannot come to India with us. I think we will still keep the canadian themed reception - I will wear the white dress and my bridesmaid etc. etc. I dont want to take fun stuff away from my girlfriends. WOW, SO MUCH TO LOOK FORWARD TO!

BEST of all, WEDDING was in 9 months in Canada, but now bec we are planning to go to india, WE GET MARRIED IN 4 MONTHS! 18 weeks! 126 days! countdown is SO ON! hahaha

It is sooooooooooo stressfful here to plan the wedding, I am so beyond glad it worked out for me(I was getting booked with 8 days full of appointments- appts after work and on the weekend like no time to breathe) Things are DIFFERENT in India!! you pay and get work done, sit back and actually enjoy the wedding!!!

Thanks for listening, I cant wait to fill in with all the Indian details now. Stay Tuned!

I guess I will show you what I did this weekend - I worked - thats right, worked on a sat! (Ah perks of this job! - meaning got to attend a inter city multicultural ladies event and got henna done). I will stop talking. enjoy!

Shopping: Behind the Scenes

A few weeks back, I was in H&M and went window shopping. Little that I know, I would end up trying a few items on. While I was on there, I thought of taking pictures and show you what I tried and what I actually bought. If you are like me, I ususally try alot of things but try to only buy the ones I think are worth the money or I can see myself wearing the item over and over again.

I tried a bright orange cardigan, 2 dark blue capes, a lace top, a blazer and a tunic. Enjoy!

I liked the color but not the fit - didn't get it even though it was $14 only.

Navy blue cape - loved it , is so comfortable.

cropped navy blue lace top -

long tunic - looked better in hangers lol

another cape - quality wasn't amazing on this one.

I tried on 7 things, left the store with 3. I like to take pictures of myself with each item on (totally gonna do it in future too), taking a picture and seeing yourself wearing the product helped me decide what to purchase and what not to. Can't believe , I didnt think of doing this before.

What strategy do you use when going shopping to make sure you don't overbuy?
