Simplicity is the ultimate sophistication - Leonardo da Vinci

Dress: H&M ($25), Earrings: Ardene's ($2.50), Belt: F21 (old-$6)

I have been looking for a cobalt blue dress for a LONG time and I finally found it!!! :) Isn't it pretty? It is so simple, I didnt wanna add anything to it really, and my sweet hubby said that above quotation about simplicity and I think he was right. I love it when he gives me fashion advice, gotta take his advice sometimes! :P

Irish Green

Dress: Fairweather ($10), Belt: Mexican (gift), Sweater: F21 sale ($5), Shoes: Steve Madden ($40),
Watch: Fossil (gift), Bracelet: from (India - $5)

Here are some other fun ways I have worn this mexican belt:

Cognac and Navy Lace

Lace Top - H&M ($15), Belt: $3 (thrifted), Skirt H&M): $5

Navy blue and cognac is a wonderful combination together that I found about recently...yeah you can blame it to Pinterest. I do not have much lace in my closet but this top I picked up few months ago, knew could be versatile enough for work looks and also casual on the weekend. It is a litttle cropped for my liking but I supposse that's alright as I always wear a tank underneath everything or I can just tuck it in.

I am done with my christmas shopping and just got wrapping left (HURRAY! bec I totally started last minute). I did not do individual gifts this year, just did FAMILY gifts, I know not as exciting, but wanted to get something family-oriented that everyone could enjoy together, because that is the REAL meaning of christmas for me!

2 more sleeps till holidays begin! I hope you take some time off to spend with your loved ones - family and friends! Happy holidays to all my new and old readers!~you guys are truely the best!

Celebrating TANZANIA!!

I wore this outfit to a recent work party. We were celebrating Tanzania 50th year since they gained independence. I had purchased this necklace last year from a local festival here at a Tanzanian stall, so I thought this would be a perfect occasion to wear this necklace. I know I did not take a photograph of the shoes, but I wore it with my red wedges (which will be featured on the blog soon, promise!)

Being from India, I am just so fond of jewellery. I also love to collect different kinds of jewellery from different countries. This one is so chunky and makes a statement.

Linking up to this challenge - a half-day late - challenge is to rock BLACK.

Do you own/love any ethnic jewellery?

Cobalt and Leopard

Pants: BR, Leopard shirt: F21, Belt: Thrifted, Cardigan: Suzy Shier

I have been wanting to wear these 2 colors for quite some time now, and I LOVE the way it turned out. Cobalt is such a vibrant color, It was a total cold day today and the outfit was a total pick-me-up for me. Funny how clothes do that to you.

Leopard is the new basic, I have heard many times this fall. It is very true, you pair any color with it and you are pretty much ready to head out. I naturally try to be very matchy matchy and would have totally paired it with black cardigan and then what? Pairing it with color totally gets more bang out of my bucks I spent on this shirt. (which was only $15 but stilll.....)

If you liked what I wearing today: like my outfit over at Cute and Little? Its just a click away. Thank you!!

For the Love of Mustard

Pants: GAP, Tank, Cardi and Belt : Thrifted, necklace: Gift

Has anybody (other than me) noticed that out of 7 popular looks, 4 of them have had some form of mustard in it??? Mustard might be the new BLUE. I love blue, in everything. I guess when it comes to dressing to the office, mustard is the color! I was not the girl to wear such bold colors to office..only after blogging did I start experimenting more with color. annnnnnnnd I havent looked back!

I had such a busy weekend, cant believe its monday already. Wedding planning is in full swing, I will discuss some things with you all and ask for your opinion. So stay tuned!!

WIWW - Cool Look

Doesnt look like much.

Top: H&M  |  Skirt: Thrifted  |  Shoes: Steve Madden  |  Belt: Gift

Seems like this week is going to be full of compliments! Monday we had the sexy look, and tuesday was "you look nice and girly" and Wednesday I present you with a "Cool look" which is what Mr. Fiancee intreprets it as...I  thrifted this white pencil skirt back in May and it fits me like a glove, makes me feel so feminine.

Mind you, my current work doesn't require me to be so dressed up. But I do it, out of my own will. Being dressed up makes me feel like a) Happy because I am dressed up important b) I am productive bec I feel good about myself c) It makes easy transistion into after-work social events d) Lets me be creative the night before (bec I have now started creating outfits the nightty before!

Who knew there would be so many positivities out of getting dressed! =)

Do you feel empowered by the way you dress?

How to Stretch your Closet

Outfit prepared the night before - doesnt look like much..

Top: Wal-Mart  |  Skirt: Thrifted  |  Shoes: Steve Madden

As soon as Mr. Fiancee sees me this morning, first thing he says is "You look sexy on a Monday morning!!" Well, well, well...I say, "I think what he means was you put some thought into it and i looks put together" Thanks love, I took it as a compliment. I prepared all my week worth of outfits the night before. because I am trying to use some un-worn items..I have noticed this is something I do getting ready in the morning in a rush is - use few pieces that I always wear to make my outfit rather than wearing something I havent worn in 3-4 months! This is called "Stretch your closet, dear friend!" This top and skirt I havent worn each piece in the last 3 months, shame on me.....so here we are...starting the week with a sexy outfit!

How do you plan your outfits - the day of or the night before?

Birthday Month!

Maxi dress as skirt: Forever 21  |  Tee: Old Navy  | Belt: Gift  |  Necklace: Forever 21

Septmeber is one of the best months of the year! Ryan and I started dating in September and it my birthday in September also (May the celebrations begin!! - I celebrate the whole month, silly I know) This belt sent to me by my mexican friend 3 years ago as a birthday gift AND is one of the best gifts ever! How can it not be? It tranforms any simple plain outfit in seconds.  Like it transformed this outfit also.

I keep wanting wear my maxi lately so when I saw the way Audrey wore it, I wanted to try it out right away.. I quite liked it paired with white and topped it off with my colored blue mexican belt.

Have you tried wearing your maxi dress as a skirt?

Possible Remixing Addiction

Purple is one of my fav colors and pairing it with a tan belt did WONDERS for me! :)

Sweater: Fairweather
Belt: Thrifted
Pants: Smart Set
Blouse: Smart Set
Watch: Gift

Is it possible to have remixing addiction?? I think I have that addiction. Should I pick out 30 more items and remix for 30 more days??? I am tempted to. For 2 reasons: My photographer was serious and took photos of me religiously during 30X30,  and now since its over, he has abondoned me. and second - My co-workers mentioned today why don't you remix again!?

I loved to get so many uses out of one piece of clothing - I felt so good using the same items OVER and over AGAIN to come up with DIFFERENT outfits. Did you ever get that feeling during the challenge??

Would YOU like to see more of 30X30? Let me know below!

Inspiration Outfit: Blue Florals

This floral skirt is thrifted and I missed it during the challenge so this was the first thing I wanted to wear. Finally, we saw some sunshine in E-town and it was summery and beautiful out.

I am so happy with myself how I did with the challenge....I was having so much fun remixing that before I knew it got over!(All 30 outfits here) Something I kept telling myself is Nav, you need more shoes. I mean heels. I am blessed with height so i don't wear much heels but I understand that having heels make/break an outfit. So Shoe HUNT for some comfy heels is on!

Do you guys enjoy insipartion outfit photos? I want to know your thoughts!

30. Time to Celebrate

It is that time of the month! Well not that time (haha) - funny play on words. Time of the month where it is Time to Celebrate because I have completed this challenge. I feel good ofcourse, I tried so many new things that I wouldnt have otherwise like putting a cardigan under a blazer in today's outfit.. I had so many great dresses/skirts outfit lined up for the last few days that never materalized because it has been raining non-stop in Edmonton. Ah well! This was so much fun and expanding my creativity beyond limits is refreshing.

Now for some nature's FREE GIFTS:

Hope you enjoyed the past 30 outfits. I know I did ALOT. I will do a round-up tomorrow!! So come back and tell me what you fav. outfits were.
