Parents advice

Blazer: Thrifted
Shirt: Thriftedd
Pants: Thrifted
Necklace: Claire's
Earrings: DIY

This outfit is from last week that I never got time to post. So, here it is.

Some days I try to control outcomes, especially when nothing is going right (Do you ever have one of those days?). I had this work situation to deal with today and I don't think I did a good job. I was trying to control things that were really out of my control. I should have kept my calm and done better. As my yoga instructor would say "If bad things are happening in your day, instead of reacting to them, just breathe through it"  I reacted and don't think I was breathing. haha

But this one piece of advice my dad always taught me and my brother is that: Don't control situations, simply bec you can't. Just do your part - Work Hard and do it consistently. Because he says hardwork never goes to waste. In any given situation, when you find yourself getting stressed/demotivated - try to maintain prespective of doing an action - instead of playing mind games. Trying to control the outcomes, it just stresses you out and hinders you from working hard.  Opposite of what we should be doing! Hence, gotta stop being a control freak and get on it with life. LOL

Hope you are having a better day than I am. Thanks for stopping by.

What is one piece of advice your parents/guardians gave you that you still abide by?

  5. Cute blazer! (Great find!) Great advice my parents gave me: Never drink and drive! "Call us, even in the middle of the night and we'll come get you." They say that even now even though I'm way past the teenager years and I don't live with them anymore ; )
