Decided! My picks for 30X30 remix

Here are my picks from 30X30. My strategy was to pick peices that would work for more than one outfit. I am a wee bit nervous. just a wee bit. But I also feel excited and inspired!

1 long sleeve black shirt, 1teal shirt, 1blue sweater, 1pink cardigan, 1grey cardigan, 1 skinny jeans

3 button up shirts: blue plaid, red plaid and crisp white shirt

My little black dress, which I hope to also put to use as a skirt!

THREE pairs of PRACTICAL shoes - we still have snow on the ground. SIGH.

I am working girl (9-5 office job, thats why 4 dress pants)

Military Style casual jacket - 1

                                                                           4 tunics

1 printed top, 1 jean skirt for casual days,1 blue v-neck, 1white basic top, 1 red top and 1 chunky sweater for those COLD days.

1 leather vest, 1 black blazer

So that is it folks for my 29 picks, yeah not 30. I hope its not a problem. Maybe I will add anotherpair of shoes later on? - is that allowed?

Did I say I am excited to do this? Ofcourse I am. Wish me luck and I will try to blog everyday.

Right now, blogging everyday seems more of a challenge than putting outfits together for the next 30 days. Hope we will enjoy this ride. So no more shopping for next 30 days. I will shop my closet, I THINK I can do it! I work next to a mall....but the cold weather helps me to stay in rather than stroll into the mall.

Friday's casual oufit

Friday evening, I organized a little surprise birthday party for my Fiancee Ryan as he turned 25 and his sister Megan turned 23 years old. Ryan had no STINKIN' idea that he is coming over for a party with over 15 people. Well he was surprised! It was great fun....we had constant chatter around the house and eating, drinking, just having fun. The bollywood dance party went on for hours like usual!! Ryan and Megan had a great time too, I could tell as they looked so happy... =) They both have birthdays on the EXACT same day but 2 YEARS apart, weird right? Yes. Well who cares, we had 2 cakes to eat in 1 night! Total carb and Sugar Load.!

Well, these are my last week's nuggets. How was your week? Hope your weekend is going great! Mine is great so far! Its Sunday tomo - fingers and toes crossed, I am going thrift shopping tomorrow and don't forget to tune in for a Tuesday tip!

Well I hope you enjoyed the post, if you did, please leave a comment!
I am off to sleep now with sweet dreams!

Tippy Tuesdays #2

Hello. It is Tuesday - means another tip from Navland! Yipee...... ok! Moving on.....haha

Ever find people give you cards (for birthdays, anniversaries, thank you cards, get well soon, Valentines day cards, christmas cards)  and they are just lying around or hidden in drawers? Well get them out and lets send outt hese bad boys to work! and decorate out room at the same time. You ask how?? Let me show you how I do it.

I had 35 cards in total. I am a very sentimental person so I couldnt even think of throwing them out and just from a faint memory, I had seen them hanging in a book shop like how I am about to show you.

You willl need the following:

  • 10 Same size cards (Big)

    • 10 smaller size cards (if you have any - if not, no problem)
    • Stapler
    • Paper pins - the ones shown below (4 of them)

    Lets start...

Take the BIG cards - 8 of them and take bottom left of one card end of the card and staple it to the top right end of another card...keep doing this until you make a queue of them stapled together like in the following picture.

For the smaller cards, I make a horizontal queue by stapling top right corner of one card with bottom left corner of another card, shown like below:

And there you have it. Once all stapled, hang the long big cards queue (of about 8 cards) in a corner with one of those pins I should you above. I placed the horizontal short cards queue on one of the side walls.

Let me show you what I mean.

I have put them up in 2 corners of my room. It makes my room very personal and a good reminder that people adore you for your efforts or for who you are!

Hope you all enjoy this tippy tuesdays episode! I  always love to read comments! Leave below if you enjoyed this post and will be using this idea! Let me know how you all organize your cards?

Have a good rest of the week! Stay fab!
