Winter Greens

I bought this dress in New York and I absolutely love this color this winter. It is a gorgeous emerald green; as it is one of the spring shades in season this year. I wore this to a recent Jewellery party I went to and someone pointed out that Kate Middleton also wore this dress a while back....I felt like this dress was now a GREAT STEAL. 

What I wore in New York: Day 2 and 3

Day 2: Weather in New York had warmed up so much that I decided to wear 1 skirt that I took with me. We went walking on the Brooklyn bridge that day and rest of the day was spent shopping.

Day 3: After I spent half day yesterday walking around in my boots, I decided to wear my black flats the next day. Flats are a wee bit comfy than boots. That was my thing about New York, we walked everywhere. We were on feet 8-10 hours, so having comfy shoes is a MUST if you have are planning to visit NY city in any season. FYI: Pack colored flats if you got some.

I love these flats. They are awesome and soooooooo comfortable. I forgot about heels for the whole week, I am not kidding. total treat for my feet.

 

I am loving the leaves changing colors around in my neighbourhood, god's best creation - fall season!

As temperatures are falling in Edmonton, I am getting excited about layering again. Summer is all about shedding those layers, but the possibility of making new outfits, using those transitioning summer pieces into fall again...makes me excited to get out a fashion rut and get into it again. I love these new lilac shorts. I havent worn shorts since the age of 9! Crazy right? But I come from a very conservative family and it kinda felt weird to wear shorts! But I find myself being more and more in love with them. I absoluntely love the color Lilac.

I had an awesome weekend. Visited with grandma. hung out with my best friend. went to temple. Switched phones with my brother for an iphone. played with new cannon camera!

I am a big fond of prints esp colorful prints. Why? Bec they go with everything and this blog had taught me alot about choosing and using a piece of clothing to be versatile. I love it, I wore this top backwards for work appropriate look as the front is quite revealing but it might work for a fun date night out with hubby ;)

Its almost the weekend!! We will visit my hubby grandma, go to a indian concert, sunday to the temple and do some laundry. What are your plans?

Navy Stripes and Pink Blazer

I recently picked up this beautiful summer dress at Old Navy (I meant picked it up online for such a steal)! a few weeks ago! Its navy and white stripes but looks black on screen. Paired it with my pink blazer for a punch of color in the outfit!
