30. Time to Celebrate

It is that time of the month! Well not that time (haha) - funny play on words. Time of the month where it is Time to Celebrate because I have completed this challenge. I feel good ofcourse, I tried so many new things that I wouldnt have otherwise like putting a cardigan under a blazer in today's outfit.. I had so many great dresses/skirts outfit lined up for the last few days that never materalized because it has been raining non-stop in Edmonton. Ah well! This was so much fun and expanding my creativity beyond limits is refreshing.

29. Company BBQ

Since my new office culture is little bit casual, I try to dress more laid back now. Mind you, I love dressing up but I miss being casual just as much. We had our company BBQ today and we had FREE burgers and hotdogs!

Yuumm right, I know! I was ready to pass off, bec I ate TOO MUCH.

Ever have one of those days/weeks/years where you feel all WARM AND FUZZY bec of the amazing things in your life, I am having one of those days:

1. I love this necklace, my senior neighbour gave it to me last winter bec I shoveled her snowy sidewalk one day. Grandma's type ladies are so adorable!

2. I reached 70 followers today, like really? All of you like me and what I do on this silly blog. I am kidding, welcome on board and I hope you enjoy your stay. I am so greatful for all of you taking the time to come by and share your warm fuzzy thoughts.

3. Grateful (like GRATING CHEESE type of grate) - Ok, GREATFUL to have found this stinkin' cute purse at a thrift store, like how can someone not want this baby?

4. Blowing a kiss out to the world to have the universe send some warm fuzzy energy your way. We all could use more love, eh? (Can you tell I am Canadian?!)

P.S. # 29 Outfit rocks, no? You tell me.

28. RED wasn't my color UNTIL..

I didnt wear any bright colors like red until I was like 18 years old! Growing up in India and being dark is not the most asthetically appealing looking color. I always believed others when they told me that I should stick to light colors because they go well with my skin tone.

So I stayed away from RED! AND HOT PINK and green and purple (you know the brightest colors!)

UNTIL....

We moved overseas!

Now, I love how I dress and expirement lots with bright colors! If you look in my closet, I mostly have COLORS and I love it!

Anywho, I just felt like sharing some of my insecurities turning into securities now :) It was rainy today but we decided to cheer myself with some red and a scarf, worked pretty good! Very comfy to say the least.

27. The in-Laws were over

Before I get into the title of this post.....

I love this outfit. For the past 3 outfits, I have planned them the night before. Then in the morning I put it on, look in the mirror, I don't like it! and then back to the closet, change into an entirely new outfit and think if I have already worn it, then I check my past blog posts to check if I have (no I am kidding!) Then I do my hair, get ready and out the door. BUT I have been really pleased with my latest "5-minute" planned outfits like this one.

I like teal and mustard together, something I havent tried yet. Like really? this colors together work like a charm. I have tried Mustard and coral, mustard and red floral here.

Now onto the "In-Laws were over"; We discussed engagement party details like my ring size, when and where the ceremony will be and how many guests (I had to cut my list in half), boo! But we have to be realistic and not over do it. I mean come on! I have 6 more ceremonies to go and I am sure I can invite the rest of peeps in all of 6 ceremonies! I know I am lucky!

26. Weekend Comfort

As I work in professional environment all week, as weekend hits - I think COMFORT! Esp when its cold and rainy out! I wore this as it was raining on a saturday afternoon as my family had scheduled store visits to look at new furniture BECAUSE..... we are moving to a new house in like 2-3 weeks! Pain to move to be honest.

But I also did something this weekend to my closet as I started packing away more stuff. I am taking my trashy /unorganized closet and turning it into a DIVA Closet! What is DIVA closet - a closet that works for you, your needs and for those days when you hear this voice in your head "I have NOTHING to wear". Its work in progress, once its done - I will do a post and reveal some diva closet SECRETS!

25. Are we there yet?

Alright, so this weekend I had an engagement party to attend! I had no outfit planned but wanted to wear something decent. Ithought, what the heck, just cheat and wear some nice shirt and a skirt that is not part of the mix. But it was raining, so then decided against the skirt, put in my flared jeans (that are part of the mix), throw some pink in and topped it off with a red cropped jacket and threw on a leaopard print on top for warmth..and VOILA~ this is what you get. Not bad right? I quite like it, actually =]

End of story. It felt good to not cheat!

24. Yay! Its Friday....

Finally, I put on this comfy dress - A.KA PJ's for Work. Did I mention my new work area is pretty casual so I wore this today for work! I was so comfy all day in it that I fell asleep on my desk around 3pm today. OOPS.

And my accessories....

We decided to take photos with the kids in the park near the play area except THEY RAN AWAY when they saw the camera. Lesson LeARNED: Kids don't like girls wearing maxi dresses.

Oh, I miss being a kid. Although, as a kid I had very little pocket money and no independence. So I will just take whatever I am now - a grown-up women. :)

23. My FaV ShOeS

So you know I picked 4 different shoes in the 30X30 mix. BUT I keep wearing the same ONE shoes, the ones I am wearing above - because they are practical. I like wearing small to no heel, this one has a kitten heel - Perfection! BUT I know I need to invest more into some comfortable practical shoes. Tell me some online websites for nice heel please?

22. Pink with Florals

21. Mexican Belt

I am a big fan of this outfit. Why you ask? Well the belt you see is sent to me by a dear dear friend of mine. Sandra from Switzerland! Girl, if you are reading this (I miss you, and you better come to the weddin next year). I am not going to lie - I have had this gem of a belt in my closet for about 3 years now (and havent used it once). Sounds crazy, but I just didn't know how to use it before.

Well now that I have re-purposed it, I cant wait to keep using it in many more outfits. Its my new Favourite!

Its only second time I am wearing this dress in this challenge, which is much better than wearing it only twice in the last year.
