What I wore in New York City: Day 4 & 5

New York City was so much fun! Ryan and I loved the hussle bustle in the city, fashionable crowd and we almost visited all the places on the list. Above is a picture of me at the Grand Central Station.

Below is my New Years eve outfit, I was dressed in comfy layers. you cant tell but I am wearing my thermal tshirt under my great sweater. I wore skirt with fleece lined tights (that I also picked up in New York - they are a STAPLE for our cold canadian winters here)

We had a BLAST being in TIMES SQUARE for the biggest New Years party in the world! No words can explain how it felt being there, we went soooooooooo many people around the world, went crazy doing gangam style, amazing energy out there. 5 proposals happened right in front of our eyes. it was just so beautiful!

We left New York City on Jan 2nd, 2012 and 10 days in New York makes me want to move there forever! I had the best time with my hubby, it was our christmas gift to each other! :)

Hope you enjoyed the outfits! Thanks for coming by!

Case of Blues

Blazer: Urban Planet ($10), Blouse: H&M ($27), Pants: Smart Set ($20),
Nude Heels: Shoe Warehouse ($13)

Blue has always been one of my favourite colors. In high school, most of my closet was blue. The walls in my bedroom were blue. The table cloth on my study table was blue also. Yeah you guessed it, I love blue roses. Little fact: My husband asked me out with a blue rose 9 years ago! :)

Mustard & Fushcia (Punjaban)

Punjabi dress: Bought from India - bought material and tailored it. Watch: Fossil (gift), Earrings: Blue Ruby (Vancouver City) - gift, Sandals: ALDO (from 2 years ago), Lipstick: Ruby Red (NYC)

This is one of my favourite Indian dresses to wear from my wedding (from Feb 2012). The beautiful color combo, intricate details just makes me feel like a true Punjaban (Punjaban - A girl from Punjab from India).

Would you wear this color combo?

Lace and Pleated Skirt (Happy Mothers Day)

I bought thsi skirt a few weeks back on a clearance rack. I love it, its flowy, has pleates. Today my parents came over my hubbys family house and we all had mothers day lunch together :)

I finally decided to wear skirt since it was so nice out on mothers day! I love the effect pleates give to this skirt, makes me feel so girlie! and coral seems like the perfect color to pair it with!

Skirt: Smart Set ($8), Top: Wal-mart ($4), Earrings: Ardene's ($3), Bangles F21 ($5)

Catching up with mom after 3 weeks.

Happy Mothers Day to both of my moms! <3

Union Dance

Dress: H&M ($30), Belt: $2, Necklace: Wedding gift (from in-laws), Bangles: F21 ($5),
Earrigns: Flee Market (in India)

My hubby and I went to the union dance last weekend and it was so much fun! I got to sit with the mayor and the councillors of our city (If you ask me, I felt like a BIG DEAL).

I also felt like a big deal, bec i wore my diamond jewellery that I received from my wedding gifts from my in-laws. I love the classy-ness of the necklace :) I dont know if you can tell by the design, but it matches with my engagement ring. and cobalt blue and gold works good together! :)

Happy Birthday to my Husband!

Pants: GAP ($25), Blouse: Suzy Shier ($5), Jacket: H&M ($20), Nails: REVLON - Happy Pink ($3), Watch: FOSSIL (gift)

Last week it was my man's birthday! I love him so much We started the day with breakfast in bed as he worked late the night before then took him out for lunch at this fancy place - we always talked about going there, but never did. Well what better occassion than celebrating husband's birthday?

I wore this silky blouse of mine with a black rest of the outfit bec I had important meetings all day. I reach for this top alot, its bright color, soft, I got it for so cheap- what is there not to love?

Hope you have a good start of the week :) Thanks for stopping by! :)

Chandelier Eaarings

Dress: Dynamite
Sandals: Spring
Eaarings: Claire's
Belt: Thrifted

It was a gorgeous day out in Edmonton today and I took full advantage. Summers are so short here, and that while its here - I don't want to miss out on wearing skirts/dresses. This white dress is so versatile (like LBD) and has some nice crochet detailing on it. For some reason, I just felt like dressing up today (cue: Big Chandelier earrings) and got compliments from co-workers all day.

Nice job to the photographer, and I wasnt even posing. It is that candid.

Do you own a white dress? How do you style it?

NOW I NEED YOUR HELP: Please leave your opinions below and I am looking forward to you guys helping me decide:

I picked out these 3 combo's to wear for a summer wedding happening tomorrow. I am torn between these choices and don't want to be overdressed as it is a weekday wedding and is MY FIRST (Canadian wedding) one.

Please help me out!!

Thank you so much!

Tippy TUESDAYS!

Hello my dear readers, I am going to be a series called "Tip Tuesdays" where I would post one tip every Tuesday. It could be beauty, fashion related or just things that I have discovered over the years through trial and error or something I am passing onto your guys that I are called "Family Treasurers" You get the idea. Check back every Tuesday for helpful tips and I would love to hear some of your fun tips too! Dont by shy, pass them along! Sharing is Caring!

First tip is going to be an organization tip: How I organizing rings, studs, or small earrings, light bracelets etc. Last Christmas, I got so many chocolate boxes as presents esp those ones which have many individual chocolate spots (like this one from purdy's below)

I bought some home (empty ones) and cleaned it and organized all my rings, small bracelets, studs in it. Its all in one place and when i am heading out the door in a hurry, it takes literally seconds to grab something and wear it.

How I organized smaller earrings

Hope you found this tip exciting and helpful! How do you ladies organize small accessories? Is your way working out for you? Sharing is caring.

Have a great Day! Check back nexst Tuesday for another exciting tip. =)
