What I wore in New York: Day 2 and 3

Day 2: Weather in New York had warmed up so much that I decided to wear 1 skirt that I took with me. We went walking on the Brooklyn bridge that day and rest of the day was spent shopping.

Top: Old Navy: $4 (clearance), Skirt: $12 (Forever 21), Jeggings: Urban Planet ($5), Boots: Steve Madden (purchased from their website), Watch: Fossil (gift), Necklace: Simons (Christmas gift), Eaarings: F21 ($3)

Day 3: After I spent half day yesterday walking around in my boots, I decided to wear my black flats the next day. Flats are a wee bit comfy than boots. That was my thing about New York, we walked everywhere. We were on feet 8-10 hours, so having comfy shoes is a MUST if you have are planning to visit NY city in any season. FYI: Pack colored flats if you got some.

Striped Shirt: Old Navy ($8), Sweater: Old Navy ($5), Jeans: Urban Planet ($10), Flats: Payless ($20), Watch: Fossil (gift), Eaarings: Vancouver market ($3), Covergirl Teal Mascara (Walmart - $2)

We spent day 3 visiting the Rockefellar Centre and walking around the Financial District (Wall Street).

See you next time! :)

I am a big fond of prints esp colorful prints. Why? Bec they go with everything and this blog had taught me alot about choosing and using a piece of clothing to be versatile. I love it, I wore this top backwards for work appropriate look as the front is quite revealing but it might work for a fun date night out with hubby ;)

Its almost the weekend!! We will visit my hubby grandma, go to a indian concert, sunday to the temple and do some laundry. What are your plans?

9. P & P - Print and.........

I have owned this skirt for 6 years now and since printed skirts are in, I had to put it in my mix.

With all the rain we had, the roses are blooming like no one's business. So I "stopped and smelled the roses"

a quick twirl

Thanks again for stopping by guys, let me know how the challenge is so far for you. I am loving it! Are you?

1. Perfect Timing

Hello lovelies, here is my first outfit of the challenge. Simple but i like it.

I took up this challenge to work with the best pieces I have (I have other good pieces but these are the summery work appropriate pieces) , I also want to learn to accessorize better and on the side, it will also help me save some $$ and shop smarter and answer the question - "What the heck is my style?" bec I am not sure.

I also look forward to breaking some rules (rules are made to be broken - right? Hopefully no police offcers are reading my post! If you are a police officer and are reading this - I am only kidding. I am only talking about fashion rules - like wearing black and brown together!

This past weekend was non- existent for me. Why you ask? Well we are getting our house built and now it is ready to move into in about a month. So we spent all weekend cleaning our current house which meant I have started packing all my non-30X30 items! Thats why this challenge comes as a perfect timing so hopefully "Out of sight, out of mind" rule will help me out

I will be posting everyday (M -F) around this time (take pics after work and post in the evening) if you are wondering when i will be posting. Also I got so much inspiration from all of you from reading your comments on my 30X30 picks- so thank you for taking the time to comment and follow along! I truely appreciate it! :)

P.S. Me and a co-worker showed up in matching outfits today. Yeah we have pretty like-minded people in our office :) How cool is that??

What are you trying to learn from this challenge and what have you learned if you have participated before? Would love to know!
