Diamond

Shirt: Walmart ($5 - old), Skirt: JC Penney (NY trip shopping -$10), Fleece lined tights: Century 21 ($5), Heels: Aerosoles ($50), Watch: Fossil (gift), Earrings: Ardene ($5)

Now that I am settled back from our trip, I finally put all my clothes away in my closet. One of the items I bought was this diamond skirt. I have so many black and patterned skirts but this one is special because it is bought in NY for $10 only! It fits right, the material is good quality and it goes with every color of the rainbow. Just cant complain.

Party Festivities

This is what I wore to my hubby work xmas party. I wanted to buy a peplum top for the longest time but I kept finding it in cheap material, or sleeveless etc. etc. But finally the one I found at Forever 21, its beautiful piece and it would go with million things in my closet! I paired this one with a red pencil skirt and gold accessories.

Fall*ing in Orange

I got this orange jacket last year and I think this color will be IN every fall, so I am glad I invested in this piece.

Tshirt: Wal-mart ($3), Skirt: Smart Set ($8), Heels: Shoe Warehouse ($10), Jacket: H&M (last year) - $30, Necklace: Wal-mart ($3), Gold Studs: F21 ($2)

September has always been my favorite month of the year for me. Growing up, it was favourite month bec it is my birthday month. When I moved to canada, it was favourite bec the trees would be changing into beautiful colors. In university, it was my favorite month bec Ryan (my hubby) and I dating annuversary was in that month. Well, this year is no different. I love fall time still....for the changing colors, my birthday and reminiscing memories of us dating (now that we are married). But more of the fashion now........more than ever! Shopping Malls are a very exciting place to be in right now!!!

What is your favourite season?

Orange and Hot Pink Combo

Tank top: Old Navy ($5), Skirt: RICKIs ($15), Cardigan: H&M ($10), Shoes: Steve Madden, Watch: Fossil (gift), Earrings: F21 ($3)

I am a big fond of prints esp colorful prints. Why? Bec they go with everything and this blog had taught me alot about choosing and using a piece of clothing to be versatile. I love it, I wore this top backwards for work appropriate look as the front is quite revealing but it might work for a fun date night out with hubby ;)

Its almost the weekend!! We will visit my hubby grandma, go to a indian concert, sunday to the temple and do some laundry. What are your plans?

Coral Fest

Cardigan: George via Walmart ($11), Skirt: RICKI's ($15), Pumps: SteveMadden ($40), Watch: Fossil (gift)

You guys, can you believe it is already August, 2012 is half over! For some reason, years go by faster and faster the older I get. Speaking of which, my birthday is coming up real soon! This outfit reminds me of a coral fest - the fest that exists in my mind.

I had a total chilled long weekend! Didn't go anywhere, didn't do much other than catching some sales online (Oh yeah! - thats what I call an excellent weekend!!)

Have a good Hump Day!! :)

Neon at the Office

Neon blouse: Dynamite ($6), Skirt: RICKIs ($15), Pumps: Payless ~ old ($15), Watch: Fossil (gift), Bangels: F21 ($3)

You heard it right, I rocked neon for the office look this week. As I started my new job, I stuck to the standard rule for the first 2 days - dress and a blazer. Third day, I decided to show some personality by wearing neon. Got some looks and some compliments - overall it went ok.

Got this shirt for $6 only, what a steal. I am being extremely lucky with bargains lately.
Happy Friday!!!!!!

Stripes and Wine (& Interview outfit)

Top: F21 ($7), Blazer: F21 (hand me downs), Skirt: CLEO ($20), Pumps: Steve Madden via Winners ($25), Watch: Fossil (gift)

I wore this to my interview recently, for a position I wanted to go into confidently so I put on my stripes shirt, a classic black blazer with an unexpected berry/wine pencil skirt. I think it always important to make a impression when  going for interviews if you dress up a little, show your personality while still being conservative.

Dressing good and feeling confident not only makes a good impression the moment they see you, it also helps you to answer the questions confidently. This was for a office based industry interview for a professional role in a municipality.

Would you wear this to an interview?

Peach Glow

Top: Smart Set ($10), Skirt: RICKI's ($15), Pumps: Steve Madden, Watch: Fossil (gift), Necklace: Wal mart($3)

If there is ever a day I want to feel sophisticated - i reach for a pencil skirt. I love the fit, brown color of this one alot, different choice than a typical black skirt. It also goes perfectly with a number of my tops. I decided to pair it with this peach glowing blouse -one of pastels shirts I bought this summer. I love this top, its billowy sleeves and the lace detail on the shoulder.

Hope you all are enjoying the summer!

Black and Red Check

Shirt: F21 ($5), Skirt: RICKI's ($15), Belt:came with the skirt, Wedges: Payless ($25), studs:ardenes ($3), Watch: Fossil (gift), Henna on hand: from reception party

This is what I wore last week, kind of an unusual combo for me - Black, red and brown. thats one rule broken for sure - to not wear black and brown. I guess its not so bad hey!

This weekend, I went hauling (from Value Village, Wal-mart and some shops in the local mall here) - Still waiting on photos from the reception. Hope you enjoy the outfit! I will wear some of those pieces soooon!

See you with the next outfit :)

Mint and Chocolate (& J.Crew)

Top: Thrifted ($3), Skirt: RICKI's ($16), Necklace: Wal- Mart ($4), Studs:
Ardene's ($3), Watch: Fossil (gift)

I love the mint fad, I want to pair this color with everything and wear it everyday. Not practical is it?

I was in a mall yesterday,( yes on a weeknight) buying gifts for the reception night (which is only 10 DAYS AWAY) and what do I notice?? I noticed JCREW IS COMING TO MY TOWN THIS SUMMER!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I dont know what else can make a blogger so excited! :) Then I celebrated this news with a strawberry banana crepe :)

This is what I wore to office for a casual Friday wear. I absolutely love the color of this skirt and last time I wore it with a white blouse tucked in with a skinny belt. But this time around, I wanted to wear it with more of a casual outfit.

Now, I can get more uses out of my pencil skirts! Hope you enjoyed both dressed up and dressed down look below!
