Dress: Wal-mart sale ($9), Skinny belt: borrowed from another dress, Sandals: Wal-mart ($4), Jean Jacket: Thrifted via Value Village ($5)
So recently hubby and I moved to another suburb to house-sit his grandpa's house until next summer. After we settled in the house, we decided to went for a walk and we found this beautiful garden just a block away and it was filled with beautiful flowers!
I picked up this pretty pink dress from wal-mart few weeks ago at a sale. I cant stay away from jewel tones as they are always big for fall.

Florals and Neon Green
Dress: RICKI's - $10 (with a coupoun) - shop here, Cardigan: RICKI's ($15), Skinny belt: borrowed from another dress, Sandals: ALDO - old ($20), Watch: Fossil, Bracelet: gift,
Toe nail polish: Revlon ~ 281 - classy
I am in love with this dress, its perfect for the office! First I didn't really like it bec its base black color and thats not what I think when buying a summer dress. But 3 weeks later, I spotted it online 60% off, so I gave it another consideration (God, I am such a bargain shopper!!).
I am glad I got it for $10 only but even with $23 original price, it is still a great deal. The dress is exploding with color, can be worn with any color cardigan like I paired neon green here. This piece ladies, is totally remixable!

Dress: Walmart ($15), Blazer: H&M ($30), Watch: Fossil (gift), Pumps: Steve Madden, skinny belt: borrowed from another dress
I bought this dress at wal-mart a year ago and I have worn it so many different ways. I probably would not have have ventured out to wear it so many ways, had I not being blogging. Just one of the great positive change I have noticed. Amen.
As a skirt with a neutral top, layered with a collared shirt, wearing the dress alone, wearing it with a colored cardigan.
Hope you find inspiration to get more use out of those dresses in your closet!

I had last Friday off and so spent all day with my hubby on campus at our local university. He is working on finishing his masters and researches there all day. For those of you who are new and dont know us, me and my hubby met in school and had spent countless hours studying on campus library, spending all day with him there left me reminiscing the old times when we were dating!
P.S. Love this floral skirt I picked up at Wal-mart (isn't it amazing?!) My mind is bombarding with unlimited options to wear it and I cant wait to style it all summer!

This is my Monday outfit for this week, starting the week off right with bright colors. Love how this outfit was boring without the scarf, add the scarf and bam! you have got a fun outfit! :)
Over a year blogging now, I have figured some tricks out for sure. creativity blossoms on Monday mornings, I tell ya :)
Hope your week is going well, mine certainly is - mainly bec I have friday off and then our wedding reception on saturday, and I am wearing a saree - stay tuned -I will post ALL my outfit photos from this very exciting weekend!
White Chiffon and Pink Blazer
Blouse: Smart Set ($10), Blazer: Thrifted ($4), Pants: GAP ($15), Necklace: Wal Mart ($3), Watch: Fossil (gift), skinny belt: borrowed from another skirt
This pink blazer is turning out to be quite versatile. I recently wore it here and here. It cost me like nothing at my local thrift store and I have already got my money worth out of it. I also feel I got it last year just for the sake for having pink blazer in the closet, you know. Little that I knew the year after, H&M would have a blazer like this for $40.
Lesson learned: don't throw clothes away fast, the style might return again! Like the jean jacket trend.
Union Dance
Dress: H&M ($30), Belt: $2, Necklace: Wedding gift (from in-laws), Bangles: F21 ($5),
Earrigns: Flee Market (in India)
My hubby and I went to the union dance last weekend and it was so much fun! I got to sit with the mayor and the councillors of our city (If you ask me, I felt like a BIG DEAL).
I also felt like a big deal, bec i wore my diamond jewellery that I received from my wedding gifts from my in-laws. I love the classy-ness of the necklace :) I dont know if you can tell by the design, but it matches with my engagement ring. and cobalt blue and gold works good together! :)
Purple and Mustard
I love how this 2 colors look combined! It made for a fun work look today and actually managed to get some compliments too - BONUS! :)
Purple Top: Costa Blanca ($8), Cardigan: thrifted ($5)Pants: Suzy Shier ($15), Skinny belt (borrowed from a skirt), Bracelet - $3 (from India), Watch: Fossil (gift), Pearl Studs - Ardene's ($4)

Red Lipstick
Among many new things lately in my life is a new husband, new place to live in (in-laws house), new morning and sleeping routine. This is a great opportunity to start fresh again. So I thought why not debut on the blog as a married women wearing red lipstick? As my mom said to me a day after we got married - start wearing bright colored lipstick bec you are married now (bec in Indian culture traditionally women would wear bright lipsticks only after they are married) and I said YES MOM! :D I used to just dab on some lipgloss before but now I am excited to start increasing my lipstick collection.
I love royal blue against grey pants (Even though you cant see them) - I still in the process of setting my tripod in my in-laws bathroom.
Necklace: F21 ($7), Pants: Thrifted ($4), blue cardigan: H&M ($15), Watch: Fossil, gift
Layered Up!
My bloggy friend over at Freckles in April is hosting a winter challenge which I am happily participated in. Our first clue was layering...and I chose to layer a summer dress over a collared tunic to be safe for a work look.
It is a bliss having to have figured out a way to reuse my summer dresses, like last year when I was not blogging, I was buying winter dresses instead. Nothing wrong with that, but I would rather save $$ and re-use items!
Dress: Wal-Mart ($15), Tunic: H&M ($5), Tights: F21($3), Steve Madden Pumps via Winners ($35), Skinny belt: Thrifted ($2)
Hope you had a fantastic Monday, please come back tomorrow to see the next look!

Almost Black and White
Plaid Shirt: Thrifted ($4), Pants: GAP ($20), Red v-neck: F21 ($5), Belt: Thrifted ($1)
January 2012 must be a plaid month, as I am finding myself wanting to wear plaid ALL the time now. Yesterday I wore a plaid tweed jacket. This plaid shirt I wore today, I thrifted it last year for $4 only and guys, it is so comfy - full sleeve and partially wool material so it keeps me warm no matter what I wear with it.
Bridal shower update: It was alot of fun, this one was the first one I ever attended. I still do not have pictures on me from the event, otherwise I would share what I wore and how the gifts got showered on me (literally) through a very nicely decorated strainer.
